I changed the rear diff fluid today. After 64000 miles, it was pretty nasty. Refilled with Mobil 1 70w90LS. I also replaced my diff cover since it was getting pretty crappy-looking---EVH stripe-job pics below. It took about 2-1/2 quarts to fill. Anybody who's thinking of doing this, do yourself a HUGE favor and buy one of the hand pumps that screws onto the quart bottles-I picked mine up at Advance when I got the gear lube. It was like 7 bucks and worth every penny.

Looks great!! Lucky it only takes 2 1/2 qrts on the 8.8 28-spline. The 31-spline FX4 LII axles take almost 5.
