How do you guys clean your diffs? Just empty them, and throw in the new fluid?
Brake clean?

I spray brake cleaner in mine. Allow it some time to dry out before you put the cover on.
I would definitely not use water. You might end up with a milkshake when you put the new fluid in.

I used brake cleaner and compressed air.
Mine smelled a tad like rotten pumpkin guts. The new stuff smelled far better.
