Replaced clutch master and slave cylinder, but now it won’t go into gear.
this is what the mechanic tells me. A few weeks ago, as I was driving home, the clutch pedal was suddenly rock hard. Stupid me forced the pedal down and snapped the connecting rod off. I started by replacing the master cylinder and line the runs to the slave. After gravity bleeding and hooking everything up, pedal was still rock hard.
Took it to a friends garage and he replaced the slave. Said he had trouble bleeding it, but supposedly he got pressure built up in the pedal. Now he says it won’t go into gear. When I was driving it home with the broken pedal, I was able to float it into 3rd gear and make it home. truck was shifting fine before all this started.
Any ideas? I’m thinking he just didn’t bleed it right.
