i have a 97 ranger 5 speed and a few weeks ago i stered to notice that when i was stoped with gear ingadged with the clutch in and it started to squeel and i could feel it both on the shirt **** and the clutch pedle. it got progressivly worse so i took it to the shop and they said it was the clutch and fly wheel so i got the fly weel machined and the clutch replaced and they also replaced the master slave cylande. i drove it home realy inpresed, i took er out threw some lite mud puddles then as i got home it started making noises like it did when the problem was just starting ... now under the hood is making some weird noises too any ideas what this oculd be??

Jk.....You might not have let it break its self in.....i think you have to take it easy on it for at least 1-500 miles.....but i may be wrong.....I would just take it back, when my cars clutch made noises it ended up going out on me..

did they replace the throw out bearing?

 

YEA THEY did replace it they replaced everything... my truck needs a new water pump and theres a rattleing under my hood i think the rattling is coming from there im replacing that tomorow and ill check it then

 

also check the idler pully and the tensoner pulley on the belts. i have replaced mine about gosh 5 times now

 

Pull the rubber inspection cover off the side of the transmission bellhousing and shine a flashlight in there. Make sure the pressure plate looks new, as well as the plastic throwout/slave cylinder assembly.

Regardless...if a shop did the work, they need to see it through and make sure it's fixed 100%. Take it back to them.
