Did the Hub Lock Mod, Having Problems.....

Ok i did the hub lock mod about a week ago and in between that time we have had some snow. The 4wd worked fine, and everything was great. Now however, I am getting a slight clicking feeling from what feels like the front left. This happens everytime I engage and disengage the 4wd, and lasts longer after the 4wd is disengaged. Cant be the hubs because they are locked correct? What else could it be? Any help would be great thanks.
