Disconnecting parking brake

So I'm tired of the parking brake hanging up and having to hit the brakes to get it unstuck. Note I never use it but somehow it sticks.
What if I just take those parts out of the rear drums?
Pros? cons?

Only e-brake parts in there is a cable and park brake lever.

If it sticks without being used then problem is the setup in that drum, not e-brake.

E-brakes usually stick because the inside of the cable case gets water inside and freezes in winter months and rusts in the summer months.
Using liberal amounts of spray lube can free cables up and displace water.
