DIY Clutch Replacement
Hi Everyone. I am in possession of a 2004 Ford Ranger 2.3L 4 cylinder with 2x4 drive and 5 speed manual trans with standard cab. Pushing 196K miles on original clutch and it's starting to slip under load either rolling up a hill or on hard acceleration from a stop. My goal is to replace the clutch myself. First timer on this particular project so am wondering who in here has done a clutch replacement and what tips and information you might have and, most of all, oopsies not to step into? I am planning on doing the standard of replacing flywheel, slave cylinder/throw-out bearing, pressure plate, engine rear main seal, and rear transmission input seal while I am in there. Am I missing anything or potentially being excessive? Are aftermarket parts a risk or do I want to go Motocraft? Motocraft seems to be on back order right now though. Any good part website suggestions? Any and all tips/constructive criticism welcome. Please and thank you. At the brainstorming stage right now.

Try tascaparts.com for Ford parts availability ONLY because they've come through in the past. As usual; no affiliation or preference, check other places etc.
I have read that bleeding the clutch hydraulic line isn't as straightforward as you'd expect. Gravity bleed as well as pumping the pedal was mentioned.
