Hey everyone I was wondering how much of a hastle, and how would one go about fixing a leaking seal.

I am leaking transmission fluid from the seal that is connecting the engine to the transmission.

It is an 1984 Ford Ranger 2.8L V6.

Any opinions or help?

thanks alot!

Hello and welcome!

SOunds like the front pump seal is leaking. If its a 4x4 it would be easier to pull the motor and then change the trans seal. If its a 2wd just drop the trans and replace it.

I guess it depends on how skilled you are and if you have the space and tools to do it yourself.
