Driveshaft swap question?

Driveshaft swap question?
My local yard has two 2001 2wd ext cab rangers with alum. Shafts. My truck is a 96 ext. Cab 4x4. Do I need to find one from another 4x4 or will the 2wd work? Wasn't sure if it would be too long.
