Which Explorers came with the cool diff covers that everyone gets this one

But WHICH Explorers I seen some that just have regular diff covers with no fill/drain plugs

the fins hold on the CV axle or something like that..should just unbolt then you can chop em off when you get it it off or keep it on

the ears are where the differential mounts to the subframe. yes the cover will bolt up to a live axle w/o removin the ears.

I wonder how much the cover will cost. I hope its cheap cause I dont have much money

i can get you a brand new one for $65 shipped...it will have the ears, but i can cut those off for you and smooth it down no sweat before i ship it

I learn something new everyday! I never knew about those. I don't need one at the moment being that I kept my SVO cover from my ol' Mustang GT.

been there, done that - this was on my '02. I took it off and sold it before I sold the truck - now I wish I had it back!!! Doh!

They never came on any car. That's aftermarket from the Ford Racing Performance Parts line. The don't look like that anymore. The new ones look like this.


Mine was on a 1988 GT

Yeah, no more SVO - that was the unique part of it - some small connection back to the SVO Mustangs. Dangit I wish I never sold mine!
