What year's of explorers are Dual Cardan...need one asap front drive shaft gave out on me.

 

96 definetly, i think maybe 97 or 95 as well, remember your going to have to get it shortened if you have an electric case

 

pretty sure the 96 is, i have one, , maybe the 95 and 97 too,

i also know that there were a bunch of rangers that had them , pretty sure my 1991 ext cab came with 1 too ,

im not sure if the stock manual transfer case is the tulip style of not, does it have 6 bolts that bolt to the case or the standard 4?? if its 6 yes it will need to be shortened, 4 than it will bolt in, im sure someone on here with a level 2 can chime in

 

a double cardan shaft wont even bolt up to your stock case without an adapter. And with the adapter you'll have to have any of the shafts shortened.

 

oh sh*t i didnt think of that, im used to the aftermarket case being manual not you fancy people with the stocker case, so he could get another stock shaft, get it shortened and the adapter if im thinking correctly......much busch light has been winning all day

i kno that i need the adapter...its like 117 bucks from a cincy speed. not cheap at all

 

is the stock level 2 tcase a flange or what im confused

 

i'm going with it dose, not sure to be honest. i have 6 bolts that hold the drive shaft to the t-case

 

All 98+ cases have the tulip flange. Manual or auto doesn't matter.
