Icon5 explorer rear end swap into a 99 ranger 4x4

ok so i know this has been covered but id like a thread where its not all cluttered with mis info. So i have a 1999 ranger 4x4 with the 7.5 in the rear and wanna swap it with the explorer 8.8 because id like a stronger rear being that im running 33x1250 15's. My ? is i have the 3in bl on it and i wanna end up keeping that height i have with the tires and bl. so where would i weld the shock mounts and spring perches? Thanks for the help!

Weld them on the expo axle like they're welded to your stock axle.

What do you mean go a little bit better. The axle size doesn't do anything, its the gears inside it.

depends on the gearing you go in there. if you have 3.73 in your stock axle, and the expo has 4.10, then yes it'll help out.

Keep in mind, if you change the gear ratio in the rear, you have to do it in the front as well
