Extreme Brake Dust Problem

Well I have noticed that my front wheels get loaded up with brake dust very often, I'll clean them and a week earlier they'll have a thick coat of brake dust again, do lots of people have this problem or could it just be my brakes and rotors? And I don't brake hard or anything, I just brake as anyone else would. Would getting new pads and rotors help me with this because it's really frustrating me.

Do you know what pads your running? If they are a cheaper one, then they tend to throw alot more dust.

My guess is that your using your brakes a bit more that usual. Try changing your driving style a little bit. Coast a bit more before a stop light, or something along those lines.

Well actually I didn't think about this at the time of posting but I know I do have new brake pads because the previous owner changed them before I got the truck, but what I usually do to slow down is downshift and brake at the same time so I don't even put that much pressure on the brakes when slowing down.
