A flashing OD off light means the computer sees an issue with the transmission and set a CODE in memory, there are 100+ different transmission codes

You can see some here, range is P0700 to P0804: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...II_codes.shtml

Not all OBD2 code readers can see transmission codes, check at local auto parts stores, they read codes for free, but make sure they can read the codes in the 700's
WRITE DOWN the code or codes
"I think it was........." is useless

There are several codes for one thing, and each means something a little different
P0765 Shift Solenoid D Malfunction
P0766 Shift Solenoid D Performance or Stuck Off
P0767 Shift Solenoid D Stuck On
P0768 Shift Solenoid D Electrical
P0769 Shift Solenoid D Intermittent

There should be some sort of warranty on an overhaul, I would check with shop FIRST as self diagnoses and repair may void any warranty
