Explorer Axle u-bolts.
Would like to order some u-bolts for my axle swap, who these fit:

I thought 3.250 in. is what I need because my current axle is 3''.

3.25 is what you need.
Your current axle if it is a 28 spline which it should be is 2.75 I think.
As far as if it will work you need to measure what you have now then add an inch to that.
Dont forget you need the top spring plates too. I have some ford part numbers for them around here somewhere.

That is the only place I have seen them before. I know they are for an F150 older model.
Like 10$ a piece
I can get some Ubolts made around here for 25 bucks they are 9/16s
See if there is a spring shop around your area that is the best place to find them.
If not I can have some made and ship them to you.

here i found this in another thread
btw You can probably use stock LVL2 Ubolts if you wanted. the price is different now but that is the part number that i used.

I found a local spring shop that will make them for $4 each w/ nuts and washers. But they will only make 10.5'' or 11.5'' long. Should I just get the 10.5 or do the 11.5 to be safe. I dont see a reason why the 10.5 wont be long enough.
And just to double check, I will have them make:
10.5''x3.25''x9/16'' ?

Sounds right to me. Liek I said though you really should measure the length before you get them made.
for instance.
axle 3.25
ranger spring perch .5
ranger fx4 stock block 2.75
ranger springs 2.5
spring plate .25
3.25+.5+2.75+2.5+.25 = 9.75" plus you will need an inch for the nut, as they are usually tall nuts. 10.5 is pushing it.
*those were rough guesses as I dont know your setup and if you have an AAL or not.
