so, any idea on the lengths and thickness on the bolts?

And would grade 8 be a good option?

I used 3.5" x 1/2" grade 8s on mine.

Heres a pic of my 3rd bracket doing the mock up before I straightened it out and welded it. Could probably use a couple of gussets, but it didn't even flinch in 4LO

grade 8 should be your only option....anything less than that is dangerous....

My bracket comes out underneath the third bracket, Mark's comes out on top of it. Marks is closer to the factory setup than mine.

Its already been welded to the frame so its not gonna be moving from there. I will clean up the corners and put a couple of gussets in it to keep it from bending or flexing though.

Whatever dude mine may not be as pretty as yours is but its far thicker. Mine didn't crack on my first trip in 4lo or any attempt yet. It hasn't bent, flexed, cracked, or moved one bit. It may need a gusset but just because its underneath doesn't mean it won't last. I can jack the truck up by that piece of steel, and if the axle exerts those kinds of forces on it then I should also be worried about it driving itself right out of the factory mounting locations. If the bracket does not last, I'll come back to this thread and apologize to you, but I'm confident I won't be doing that.
