Front Axle Options

What are the pros and cons for these front axle options:

1) Dana"35" IFS

2) Dana 35 TTB

3) Dana 35/44 SAS

Also, has anyone ever heard of someone hybridizing a full sized IFS (Ford 8.8 IFS?) with a 98+ IFS Dana "35" setup for a stronger Ranger IFS setup?

Most people that need stronger axles do an SAS. I have never seen an 8.8 used in the front of Rangers. It would take a lot of custom work.

Dana 35 parts will not fit in the Dana 35 IFS axle in Rangers. Not sure about the TTB 35 though.

Really? 98+ D/M35's have more in common with the Jeep 35 than the TTB 35...

It all depends on your application. If your a prerunner, you can get wicked travel for cheap with the TTB. The TTB is esentially a mud plow though.
If your a street queen, and rarely go offroad, the IFS will do fine. Cons of this are parts wearing out more quickly, terrible flex etc.
The D35/44 is for more extreme wheeling. Generally paired with bigger tires. It gives you better and more predictable articulation than an IFS or TTB. Cons are pretty much nothing beyond price.

From what I have read on here from Bob and others that I trust they have said that Dana 35 lockers or L/S will not fit because the Dana 35 in our Rangers because the distance between the carrier bearings is less than in a normal 35 . Gears will work but that's about it.
