I have a 1997 ranger 4x4 4.0. when i bought it the guy told me it just needed a universal joint for the front passenger axle shaft. i didnt even bother to look but when i did this is what i saw..(see picture) The small shaft coming out of the differential on the passenger side. The end where it connects to the other end of the axle shaft is broken. I need to get this part out and replace it. i cannot get it out. i see no rings or any thing that would release it. Please help i need to finish this project before november.
