Front Diff seal leaks worst than before it got replaced.

New guy with 2005 Ranger, XLT 4x4, 4.0L 5 s
I replaced the Front Diff's Pinion seal first, per instructions from You Tube. Replacement went quickly with no problems, it seemed. Quick test drive, no new noises. Drove it home from friend shop about 20 miles. Checked under truck found dry. Next morning I find that its leaking again. Bought another seal, installed it, checked the yoke to see if it was smooth, it was not, had three or more grooves on the outside of the shaft, plus a bit of rust at the dust cover collar. Put it a back together with another new seal, Still leaks. I bought an aftermarket yoke, install that with the second seal. Still leaking just as bad. So now I have a new yoke and seal. Not sure what my next step is.
I believe that the backlash is correct or not changed.
Should the seal be real close back collar where the dust cover is seated?

Any suggestions or questions will be appreciated.

You may want to replace the yoke. I had a leak from my rear differential seal. I took it to the shop that installed 4.56 gears and replaced all seals and bearings. They said the yoke seal surface was worn and needed to be replaced. I said do it and I now have no leak.
