Front pinion seal time...
Front pinion seal time...
Noticed today when I was changing my oil that there is a little weep of gear oil from where the driveshaft goes into the front 4x4 diff. Nothing major, but I would like to fix it. It's not the front cover seal, it's obvious that its coming from where the driveshaft goes in. Not dripping or anything, just a weep. Is there a how to on this? I didn't find a good one on a search. Looks fairly easy to do but it can wait for a winter time project or something.
I bought this truck 1 year ago today....a whopping 3200 miles since then, first oil change since I've had it and more than likely it's first drink of Mobil 1 synthetic.

I think there is a how to on this. Search around a bit. But if you search for "pinion seal"... most of your results will come up for the rear... but it can't be too much different in theory.
