Gear oil for manual trans

Gear oil for manual trans

What weight of oil should i be using in my manual trans?
Truck is a 93, engine is the 2.3L

Also wondering if there is an adjustment for the clutch?
I dont know a thing about this truck, going to do some maintenance to it this weekend.

Not sure if i have a hyd clutch or one that is operated by a cable.

You should be using Mercon ATF in your trans. Yours is a '93 making it an M5OD so Yes, these transmissions take ATF. And it is a hydraulic clutch setup and there is no adjustment.

Trans was about 2 1/2 quarts low.

Clutch just feels like it is getting week.
It doesnt slip but it doesnt engage as hard as it use to.
