Gearing for Towing Camper

Gearing for Towing Camper

HAVE ranger 2005 4x4 4:11 gears tow 2,500 lb like to caange gears (depending $) to 3:73 or whatever and still tow camper better miliage. Thank you

I was quoted $1000-1300 just for labor out here. Plus the parts and you're looking at spending quite a bit of money just to try to get better gas mileage? You might see better highway mileage maybe.

You're better off buying a tuner and getting an economy tune and a tow tune so you can switch back and forth if you need more towing power.

You're better off keeping the 4.10s IMO.
