I'm lost. A dealership around here only wants about $350 to install 4:10's on my ride.

i have a 2002 2wd xlt with 3.55 plan o doing a lift with 31 or 32s thought id check price of 373 and 410 got a quote of $500.00 for the 410 just the 410 uninstalled. sorry for the late reply mans gota work:(

buy the gears off the net, take 'em in and have them done wherever you get a decent quote for installation only. 500 for gears.... effing nutcase.

not gears. axle from a 4 banger. i could do the axle change myself

i know of a person selling a HP 44 and a 9 inch for 4:10's which im buying when i get my check lol.

just walk aways and smile from that nut case.

I paid $300 for my 8.8 with 4.10s. It was the cheapest I could find around me, but much better then what everyone wanted to regear. Keep looking you'll find a deal sooner or later.

that isn't all that bad if that included the price of the gears AND the install....considering that most places charge $75-$80 an hour for labor and with the rear gears being roughly $200, that only leaves them 4 hours to do the work.....and i bet it would be close to thsoe 4 hours...
