Icon14 Got a new transmision x-member! Pics! (56k no-no)

Ok, so DHPMike over on RPS makes a low profile transmission X-member that sits level with your frame rails so you don't drag in when you go low. He needed a test truck so I let him put one on mine to show it off. It fits great, the bottom of it is even with the frame rails, and it cleared the exhaust with no modifications. Also, I have a bit less vibration in my shifter now, so I would think the X-member is actually stronger than stock. Now on to pics!

The already slotted hole in the frame that it mounts to:

Oh, and while I was there, Mike also helped me flip my tie rods, since they were hitting the frame at full lock. Thanks Mike!

He's planning on selling them black powder coated, so you won't have to look at rusty steel. I'm gonna pull it back off and paint it. Also, he said he was gonna drill some holes in it to reattach the wire clips in the stock locations.

The only thing im concerned about is the fact that it only bolts on with 1 bolt per side.

It's a 1/2" grade 8 bolt with a stover lock nut, it ain't coming out or breaking, and even if it did, the x-member sits inside the "channel on the inside of the frame, so it can't drop, even without the bolts. The way its designed, there is very little stress on the bolts. The factory cross member puts all the stress on the 3 3/8" bolts. I personally think the frame is a better place to put stress than a few 3/8 bolts.
