i recently replaced my clutch and now it grinds into second no matter what you do and ive tired everything the only time it doesn't grind is when you first start driving it in the morning after that nothing but grinding so i never yuse second so i would like to have second back to get better gas mileage so does neone have an idea of how to fix it?????????

 

Are you sure that the oil you put in the tranny is the correct viscosity? I'm not flaming you, just offering suggestions, so don't take this the wrong way. I don't know if you changed the fluid or not. Did you have synthetic fluid in your tranny before the clutch swap? The 2nd gear synchro could be shot, I would put synthetic fluid in and see if it helps.

 

change the fluid to a good synthetic ATF like mobil 1 or amsoil and your problem should go away... a fluid change should use just under 3 qts

 

i was reading about thatbut i mobil 1 but maybe its dirty so ill change it and see what i get thanks for all the suggestions

 

Yea...change that oil..It should have been done at the clutch change. I used Royal Purple ATF, and love it. It made the trans slightly louder, but it's all good.
