rear end clicking...

Alright guys question... I searched but didn't really know what to look for. Out of no where today I started hearing a clicking noise coming from the back end of my truck. My truck has high miles so it worries me a little but I have no idea what it is... Any help would be great!

While driving straight? Turning?
Coasting, accelerating, decelerating?

Nevermind lol I didn't see anything loose when i first heard it, that or i didn't look hard enough. I was pulling out a parking lot hearing the noise, next thing i know it stopped. My girlfriend looked behind the truck and what, to me, looked like a small skid plate was laying the in the parking lot. Im guessing it came loose (or rusted off... the previous owner did a real good job keeping the rust off the bottom of the truck lol) and was rubbing against the drive train. Thanks though!
