Help! Axle swap, no speedo

Hi there,

I just had my stock 7.5 replaced with an geared 8.8, but now I have no speedo. I have to come to the conclusion that the new rear did not have a Tone|Abs|Exciter Ring installed. It came off of a different year Ranger. Now, my 99 uses the ABS Sensor in combination with the Tone|Abs|Exciter Ring to read the vehicle speed.

My question is, can the Ring be installed without having to re-setup the gears? Where can I find a new Ring? I'm going out of town on Monday, and hopefully can fix this by Sunday.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Well I would be replacing it with an 8.8 Ring. The housing should not have change much (if anything) over the years. 98~00 Rangers all had the VSS in the rear. Your sensor should be on the top of the pumpkin like mine. Thanks though.
