help to gear down plz

Ok, i have a 2002 4X2 ranger with a 2.3, k&n Cold airtake, Flowmaster Exhaust, and 5 speed manual tranny. ok this is what kills it i have 31X10.5 tires on it. i have to run about 65 to pull 5 gear and hold. unless i'm on flat ground. my axle code is 86 can i put a lower rear gear in and give me a little more pull? I have a hard time with a boat on the ramp no power at all?

Any sugestion would be wonderful and where is the best place to buy?

3.73 is what you have stock. Go to the junkyard and try to find a truck with an 87 code for 4.10 gears or swap the whole axle to a code 97 or 98 for a 8.8 rear with either 4.10 or 4.56 gears.
An 8.8 will open you up to better support for higher gears and be stronger in general.
