how to find out what gears I have?

This is about my explorer. I looked for an axle tag and with no luck. So how can I go about finding out what my gear ratio is?

Read the label on the driver's door jamb and look up the axle code here. This is a Ranger link but also has the Explorer codes listed.

Jack up the rear of your truck and count how many revolutions the driveshaft makes for every one turn of the rear wheels. My truck was just a hair over four turns so I know I have 4.10 gears.
