hub assembly bearing bad again?

i just got new tires put on and balanced and noticed a slight steady bump bump bump going down the road with kinda a roar. I know this from my bad hub assemblys i just replaced. It just got new inner and outer tie rods so i took it in for an alignment. Well the tech there showed me i had a little play in my passenger side hub assembly but it is only about 1mm or 2 of play. i called the company and they are sending out a new assembly under warrenty but i was just wondering if that is the problem? I just dont see how that little amount of play could cause the extreme bumping/roaring. it is similar to when 1 went out before so it may be again. any other ideas or do yall think it is that bearing????????

also could it be a rear wheel bearing? i do not notice any play in them but could it be one of those as well??????

i guess ill replace that bearing and take her in to the dealership for an alignment and inspection of the problem.
