Hub Bearing Replacement

Does anybody have a 'how-to' on replacing the hub bearings on an '04 4x4? I did a search and wasn't able to find anything. I'm debating whether this is something that I want to attempt myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
MikeR

Its very simple to do!

Talk off wheel (duh! lol)
Get someone to hold the brakes and loosen the big center nut (I think it was 1-1/4" or so)
Remove two caliper bolts and hang the caliper off to the side (not by the flex line!)
Remove rotor
Take out three bolts holding the hub assembly on
Disconnect abs sensor and clips
Remove hub assembly

Then do it over in reverse!

thats a good video but that explorer isnt a 91 and you need to torque the axle nut to spec, dont use an impact on it, thats a good way to ruin the assembly.

Here's a thread I created a while ago. It's got a useful link in there to help you out, as well as some other useful information.

Anyone know for sure what size the retaining nut is on the end of the axle? Parts should be here tomorrow-hopefully getting them on Sunday or Monday if the weather co-operates.
Thanks

If I remember correctly you can use 32mm or 1-1/4".

I got the driver's side done yesterday--It wasn't a terrible job once I had the right tools. I had to run down to Sears and grab a 3-arm puller ($50) to release the CV shaft from the hub. That, plus the 1-1/4" socket ($7.29), ended up saving me about $250 off the labor cost that I was quoted to have both sides done. Money well spent in my opinion. I'll likely do the passenger side next weekend-the DS was growling pretty bad, PS seems OK for now, but I might as well do them both. I'll probably take pics and post a How-to when I do the PS.
Thanks for everyone's input.

Nice, glad you were able to save the cost in labor there.

Hey Patrick,

You wouldn't happen to know what the torque spec is for that 1 1/4 axle nut would you?
