ok here it is ,I have an 87 ranger with a 2.0L naturally aspirated 4 cyl. I want to swap out the half plastic half pop can 1bbl chinese built pos carb.I realise that the 2L is just an under bored 2.3 and most parts are interchangeable so what i wanted to do was swap out the intake from a 2.3 with a 2 bbl carb but have been unable to find a match. does anyone know where i might find a donor vehicle. I'm no adverse to swapping the head as well to avoid the whole round,oval or D shaped intake ports. Or perhaps a suggestion on who might carry an afterrmarket intake.emission controls are not an issue where i live so messing with or deleting certain emission features is possible.I'm getting tired of dealing with the engine running rich and having low idle(especially when cold)without being able to adjust the carb in any way plus i hate getting passed by a school bus.any help would be great.
