interchangeable driveshaft?

there is a possibility the slip yolk on my 2wd 1995 b2300 needs replacing. the wrecking yard cant seem to find one for me, ford and Mazda both say the parts aren't discontinued.. I did find one I can have shipped in but buddy wants 95$ for it plus shipping and its 25 years old so that price seems high.

Now I think these trucks only came with one transmission, a M5OD-R1. From what I understand this transmission was built until 2011 and used in all 3.0l rangers. I know the version for the 3.0l has a different bolt pattern on the bell housing but the output shaft should be the same.

So will a slip yoke from lets say a 2005 3.0l mate up with my transmissions output shaft and will it work with my driveshaft?

Are these parts interchangeable.???

i guess this transmission is in a lot of vehicles.
