98 Ranger clutch problems?
Disconnected the clutch line to the slave/throwout assembly to get ready to install new clutch kit. all of the fluid from reservoir immediately drained out through the quick connect end of the line? I thought that when you pulled the line off the little connector was spring loaded and was supposed to keep the fluid from draining out? Should i change the clutch components from the reservoir to the quick connect end?

If you got a self adjusting pressure plate then it will engage and disengage in the middle of pedal travel when new and until it wears out
If its not self adjusting then when new it will engage and disengage at the floor, the 1" thing, and then as clutch disc wears out it will engage and disengage farther and farther up the pedal until at the top and clutch slips
Self adjusting looks like this: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/G422DCl_2ew/maxresdefault.jpg
See the 3 springs they are tight when new
Non-adjusting looks like this: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....DL._SX425_.jpg
No springs
Rangers came with both from tha factory but 1995 and up were usually self adjusting, you can use either in any year, I prefer self adjusting
