Locking hubs

i have 2003 ranger and want unlocking hubs
do i have to install older ranger axle up front
or will it fit or can i make it fit.

You can find if you look online manual hubs for your truck.

If you spend some time reading the threads on this subject you will gain some valuable knowledge.

Welcome to the forum

There are no options for unlock hubs on 2001 and up Rangers with Live Axles

So yes you would have to change the front axle to different model that had manual hub options
1998 and up 4WD Rangers used basically the same front suspension, seen here: The Ford Ranger Front Suspension
The 1998-2000 Rangers could use AVM Rugged Ridge manual hubs, but only that brand.
And you only need to swap axles and hubs, only, lol, but not whole front differential
