Manual Trans Shifts, Stalls, No Movement.

Manual Trans Shifts, Stalls, No Movement.
Good evening, I have a 2006 Ranger 3.0 2x4 manual trans. Bought it as a project to keep me busy during college and it has me a bit stumped.
Truck starts, goes into every gear, clutch and throwout/cylinder are brand new, yet will stall and does not move.
Rear diff is not locked up as I rolled the truck into the garage.
I jacked up the rear end and it goes into gear and does not stall, but the tires do not turn and the trans makes alot of noise in any gear, less in 4th (pocket bearing maybe?)
Transmission has been removed again and the internals look like new. All gears engage freely, synchros look good, no wear on teeth. Output shaft rotates in every gear. I do not hear any
Strange wear mark on one of the shifter forks. Input shaft has enough play to call excessive.
What is my next step?
I will have pictures up tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum
It reads like two gears are engaged at the same time
So one gear is not disengaging
You say it rolls?
In Neutral?
Drive shaft removed?
4th is not a "gear:" its more of a sleeve that connects input shaft to output shaft , it has 1:1 ratio
So its the only "gear" that doesn't use the counter shaft and input gear
You have an M5OD-R1 transmission
Smaller version of the M5OD-R2 used on Ford full size trucks so same rebuild pictures apply
Good read here: Ford M5OD-R1 Rebuild - Ford Ranger Forum

The M5OD transmissions are ENGINE SPECIFIC, the parts inside are the same(for the R1) but the Bell housing can not be detached so only fits the engine bolt pattern it was made for

The truck rolls in neutral. If it was stuck in two gears how would the transmission turn when without load? I understand that you are able to lock 1-3 together when servicing the transmission and there is no way it’s going to turn. Are my shifter forks bad?

Yes the car rolled freely in neutral with the driveshaft in place and the trans went in gear with no load on the output shaft.
I am mechanically adept and have rebuilt a few auto's, so not too worried about tearing into this!
