no you need a manual 1354. you can take the shift motor off and turn it with pliers but thats a pain in that *** when your laying in the mud. (ask me how i know)

So the only way i can get a Manual Transfer case in my truck is if I put a actual manual transfer case. This is so gay, i found a guy on ebay who is selling the linkage for a 1354 for 35 bucks.

None, I just want a manual transfer case, thats all. One less electrical thing that could go wrong.

Only whole new T cases are offered. Atlas makes one and Stak has been saying they will make one. If you just run down fire trails you don't need a manual case.

Ya but i plan on making this in to a serious off road truck in a few years. So the less electrical i can have on it the better. Plus..... it just looks better.

What. Umm if i can get my hands on a used BW1354 and rebuild it I think it is safe to say that it will be far less then 2000, lol and I am not building a race truck, Just something the is dependable, and easy maintance. Don't get me wrong I would love to get my hands on a Atlas, but they are way to expansive.

What years of trucks have that 1354 case? Is it only the manual or electric shift model or what? I've got several transfer cases laying around out of Bronco II's Most are the electric shift variety though..

This may be an option for me...

the 1350 has a slip yoke from out put shaft or you can read the tag.

So the output on the case is basically a splined hole then and not a bolt flange??

IIRC, the big difference between the two is that with the manual the linkage goes right through the back of the t-case, whereas with the autos the motor just plugs in to the front. I'm not 100% but I remember something about that.

I wouldn't worry too much about buying a used t-case. Its not too difficult to spin it by hand to listen for noises, but they weren't really bad for blowing up but occasionally they'll wear out due to high mileage (like anything else). If its clean, doesn't look tampered with, and doesn't smell burnt then I wouldn't worry too much about it. They're pretty hearty units. LR
