Metal clanking noise from rear of vehicle

Metal clanking noise from rear of vehicle

Ive been hearing a metal clanking noise when im driving it usually only happens over bumps. Somone told me it was possibly my driveline. If anyone has any idea how to fix this. Id appreciate the insight and advice

This will require you to do some hands on inspecting. Loose tire carrier, exhaust pipe, etc... could be the culprit.

I already removed the spare tire assembly completely. It didnt solve the problem at all

You haven't mentioned the year of your truck, but if you have rear drum brakes, you may want to inspect inside them for loose or broken pieces. Check your drive shaft for play at the ujoints. Check the leaf spring bushings and shackles.
