My front drive shaft wont go in

Alright so ive had this driveshaft on before it worked befor but now I cant get it in. Ive been at it for 2 and a half hrs and im ready to run my truck off a cliff.

What am I doing wrong. If I attach the U joint on first the back wont go in, If I attach the cv first the U joint wont go in.

No, it can extend longer but wont retract enough to fit.

it overextended when you had it out...you will have to position it cv end down and remove the cover from the cv joint to look at the ***** and see if they are in position
