My truck is confused

aight, i have a 2000 Mazda B4000, the top of the line as far as Mazdas go, i got 4x4, power everything, etc...

well, i have 4.10 gears in the rear. i know this, because i still have the window sticker from the dealer, and it says "4.10 ratio gears".

fine....thats cool.,...i suck a bit more gas....but cool

well, the other day i was under the truck messin with stuff, and i happened to stumble on a kinda of either sticker or plate pressed onto the pumpkin of the front axle....curious to what it says, i read it....

ya know what it said?

"Gear Ratio: 3.73"

WTF?!?!

I'd take that thing back to the dealer and ask WTF!

On that note the same thing happend to my truck. When I went to look at it the people had the sticker and it said 4.10 so thats what I thought it had. When I went back a couple days later to buy it they had tossed the sticker not thinking I'd want it. A year or so later I was snooping under the truck and found that I have 3.73's.. bah..

there should be a plate tag thing on the rear axel as well. if the front and the rear axel plate tag things are different you need to get it fixed.

edit: second thought I would complain to the dealer either way, first check the rear tag thing and I would make sure you have 4.10's front and rear. If they are not the same you can have problems when you use your 4WD.

well, at this point, theres nothin really the dealer can do

the thing is 95% paid off, and the warranty is gone on it....i've already done mods to it...they wouldnt do anything....

so that means i'd have to do the labor, like a locker or etc...
