Need opinions on rear end purchase...

Seller is looking for $200. It's out of an '01 Edge with 36k miles. 8.8 28-spline. Please check out the pictures and tell me what you think.

Information from his post says: "8.8 3.73 gears". I haven't asked about the tag. I'm assuming he's honest and knows his sh*t considering he works at a mech. shop.

is it on craigslist or what? if you can go see it, go for it. i wouldnt pay any more then $150 personally. cuz thats what you can get it for at most junkyards. and an 8.8 28 spline are a dime a dozen.

if you can go see it, then go for it. pop that diff cover and take a look at those gears to make sure they are still in good shape. other than that, cant go wrong

I'd love to get an Expo rear end but I don't have the technical know-how to prep it (spring perchs, etc.). If I had some SoCal members help me out then I'd def. do that. Hint hint.
