I have a 99 ranger 3.0 4x4 and believe I currently have the 4r44e transmission (can't find a tag on it anywhere). I found an 02 transmission that was behind a 4.0 4x4 and the guy doesn't know what it is. From the research that I've done, I believe it should be a 5r55e. Will it work if i change out the bell housing? I'm aware that it won't be a 5 speed because of the computer. Which torque converter would I need to use? Will all the electric hook up correctly?
