new clutch master cylinder

I think I post this in the wrong place so I will post again here. Pretty sure this is the right place.
Well installed a new clutch master cylinder. the new one was already bled. I installed it and hooked everything up. When I started the truck the clutch would engage about 1/2 more a little more from the floor. Engages very soon....
any Ideas. I didn't bleed the system because I just installed the new master cylinder and it was already to go. Or should I anyway?

I would have bled the new master cylinder off of the truck like shown in many how to videos found on line regardless if it was supposed to be bled at the manufacture.

I just do not trust anyone else to do my work the way I would.

And then I would bleed the rest of the system until I was sure there is no old nasty fluid or air left.
