No Transmission dipstick?

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 2008 3L ranger, and i went around the other day, checking all the fluids, and I can't find the tranny dipstick! i looked for answers online, but I cant find anything....I have only ever worked on and driven cars and trucks 85 or older, and for a newer truck, the engine bay is pretty un-cluttered and relatively easy to work on.

I dont know if most new cars and trucks dont have a transmission dipstick or not, but does anyone know if the 08 ranger has one?

thanks for the help.

I've seen quite a few behind the steering wheel in my time , so I can't exactly agree with you.

sorry i meant on rangers specifically. I'm pretty sure no rangers 5 speed ever had dipsticks.

I'll rephrase my response.
Manual transmissions generally do not have a fluid level measuring component in the engine bay area , which is visually checked.
However , it has been observed that there is often either a loose nut or a dipstick behind the steering wheel of a motor vehicle , located in the driver's seat.

Mmm..k ?
