o/d light flashing

Just in the last couple days my O/D light will start flashing. Its not constant just every once and awhile. It does not drive any different when it is flashing. Is this a sensor issue? I noticed I have a small leak but believe it is the rail on the trans that I need to fix. Any ideas are appreicated.

The flashing O/D light means that a trouble code is stored for a transmission fault. Get the code or codes pulled.

My E250 just got out of the shop for doing this. Ende up being a bad Tranny and Wire harness. So $3000 & 1 month later, Its fixed and back making money. Good thing my work pays for everything on it.
Hope its something easier for yours.
