Well I've struck oil haha !!


But yeah went to a buddies up north and left a little puddle on his riveway him his pops and I went for a look, dad said it looks like the main real seal (right infront of the tranny in the front) also saw oil on the tranny plate? Said ies a pain in the *** to fix anyone know what say ford would have this cost me, looks like is wouldnt be to expensive ,just a gasket.

 

Ford will be more expensive than others...i would say try to find a local mechanic that has some good refs.

 

you have a 5 speed?

if so i thought i had a main seal go.. well there is 3 plugs that are rubber on the top of a mazda 5 speed and they tend to shrink and leak.. cheap and easy to replace if it isnt a 5 speed well ya...

 

Nope not a 5 speed, im with the lucky 4 haha.

Im having my tranny rebuilt this week, well at least hopeing to. right now im a 3 speed, first guy didnt want to hang out :)

 

In the same boat as you mines in the shop gettin a new rebuilt one.

Im just glad I have the money to fix it, I was orgianlly going to just sell it off or junk the poor think, I mean after the tranny trouble this leak, my tailget getin stolen and rolling it, I thought I was cursed. But now I can get the dents and paint done cheap and the tranny done with this leak for under 2grand im happy

You can't just fix what you've got, your girlfriends truck is still bigger than yours. You need a bigger Ranger! Good luck with the il leak. I had to have a seal replaced recently, but luckily it was still under warrenty.

 

lol, were not together anymore sadly. End of this month = a new job, and ranger is being keeped, only reason im putting money into it :) is will be the dailey driver for whats coming..


The trans shop can fix it cheap so thats 2 thigns down, paintjob and body dmg is up next for quote...still need a goddam tailgate lol

got myself a little russian girl, hey pop has a f350 duely, she drives a nice tacoma on a 4 inch suspension lift with 33's I think, very nice truck, puts me to shame ROFL !
