truetrac vs. elocker vs. ected

i am considering all of these and do not know which to choose. i have a 2006 2wd Ford Ranger Sport (edge). i know my limits now and i want to be able to go further. i mainly do service roads for camping and fishing and i do not want to get stuck.

I like the ected but i am concerned with the coned clutches wearing out (does this happen?)

is the elocker worth the extra cash to have a locked diff off road.

the truetrac seems good all around (price, durability, off and on road use). will it be enough is my concern.

i am also running 31" bfg a/t's

They're not coned I don't think -- they're flat clutches.

Auburn has the DIFREX program (or something like that). If your differential goes you send it back with like $150 and they give you a rebuilt one in return.

I've never tried that program though.

I have the ECTED and so far I love it.

A switchable locker that is a limited slip is a great thing. There are times a locker is worse than a limited slip as it breaks both wheels loose and causes skidding and loss of directional control. I'm learning that locked is not always better, and that limited slip is not always enough, and which is which when, lol.
