how much did the gears cost you? and will you be installing them yourself? if so how long and difficult is the install?

4.88s are usually fro 35s so the 33s are a little small. shouldn't have any issues though.

gears and install is getting done for $500 front and rear the shop is pretty much matching the fronts and charging me for the rears. i have done an install on a mustang 8,8 going from 3.27s to 3.73s and it honestly wasn't fun but didn't have the right tools for it...install took about 2 hours from start to finish.

That's a pretty amazing deal there. I got quoted $1300 from one shop and $1600 from another to swap in 4.88's... w/o any kind of locker or anything.

he has done about $4-5k in work for me so he was willing to make a pretty good deal he did the front pre runner bumper, and a SAS swap so he was willing to work with me

Stupid question how do I fix the speedo? Old trucks it was a gear and up till 04 you could get a box from superlift but idk 05 and up I don't really wanna spend the money on a tuner...

Same here. When it comes time I'm going to remove my rear axle and take it to the shop. Or I have some buddies who are mechanics also..

It is a PITA but 1500 to 1800 $$$ is about the market right now.

I will be having it done soon, too lazy and no special tools but if I get the Gears and install kits they will do it for $900.
That figures in around the $1700 mark.
