ordered new gears
ordered new gears
got tired of issues with hills and freeway speed so ordered some 4.88s for the 8,8 and dana 30 (SAS) in the truck how will it handle on 33"s plan is 35"s on 16x10s but not until the 33"s are bald
plan is to put 35"s on it later
That's a pretty amazing deal there. I got quoted $1300 from one shop and $1600 from another to swap in 4.88's... w/o any kind of locker or anything.
Stupid question how do I fix the speedo? Old trucks it was a gear and up till 04 you could get a box from superlift but idk 05 and up I don't really wanna spend the money on a tuner...

Same here. When it comes time I'm going to remove my rear axle and take it to the shop. Or I have some buddies who are mechanics also..
i've done a mustang 8.8 3.27->3.73s and its a pain its not hard just a pain
It is a PITA but 1500 to 1800 $$$ is about the market right now.
I will be having it done soon, too lazy and no special tools but if I get the Gears and install kits they will do it for $900.
That figures in around the $1700 mark.
