Bottom line: Luk is a VERY good clutch as it's the stock clutch that comes in these trucks. But, if you are looking for more grabbyness and fun on the street or off road, i vote Spec Stage 2.

I just went to the local auto parts store, asked them what clutches they could get for my truck. They had a $140 kit, a $180 OEM equiv kit, and a $230 kit. I dropped $$$ on the $230 kit. It feels almost exactly like OEM as far as the friction material goes but the pedal feels a lot more stiff, less "givey" after a month or so for it to brake in. iono what made the difference, better slave cylinder prolly.

I combined that with an $80 OEM equiv flywheel because the machine shop was closed that day and I had to have the truck the next day to go back to school (3hrs away). I put them both on the scale and the new flywheel was actually 2lbs lighter....not like that really matters. haha.

 

Between the previous owner ridding the clutch to "correct" high idling due to a simple vacuum leak and me dumping the clutch while drunk on my buddy's driveway (long, asphalt driveway), the stock clutch was toasted by 65,000 miles. It still had plenty of material left, but it was sticking to the flywheel and both the flywheel and the clutch had scorch marks.
