Quick question about rear axle hose

I discovered the hose on the top of the driverside rear axle tube hanging loose today. is this suppose to be connected to somehting or is it just supposed to be secured somewhere?

It is supposed to be connected to a clip located on the frame almost directly above the hose.

It's just an axle vent tube, not attatched to anything. As long as it's higher than any water you may be driving through, and secured to the frame somewhere out of the way (so it won't be stretched out when unloading suspension) it'll be fine.

That is what I thought I saw a clip without anything in it and stuck the hose inot it. I have added almost 8 inches of lift over stock so it makes sense.

thanks

I bought a 10' section of 1/4" fuel line and replaced mine to keep it from coming off. I also rerouted it much higher and added a filter on the end to keep dirt out.
